The importance of Aftercare

When you choose to have any Osiris Skin Aesthetics treatment, you take a significant step toward improving the appearance and health of your skin. For the fastest recovery and best results, it’s essential for you to take special care of your skin in the first few days and weeks after treatment.

Your at-home skin care will vary depending on which procedure you elect to have. We will advise you on the best way for your skin recovery prior to your procedure followed up by offering you access to follow-up care. As well as be able to get telephone advice to address any questions or concerns.

Lashes

Lashes Aftercare

  • Don’t get lashes wet for 24 hours.
  • Keep away from heat or steam ie hot oven, steam rooms saunas as this steam will heat up glue and may cause lashes to drop.
  • Don’t use oil based products ie cremes , waterproof spf
    or make up.
  • Remove make up around eye with a gentle, tiny amount of baby no tear shampoo mixed with water to a foam, use the foam on a clean soft brush to clean the roots of the lashes, this prevents blepharitis and prevents infection.
  • Do not rub eyes or pick lashes or you may loose your own natural lashes.
  • Please see trained technician to remove your lashes.
  • To extend the life of your lashes please book regular infill appointment 2-3 weeks apart.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal Aftercare

  • Please avoid direct sunlight and if exposed, use sunblock
    SPF 30-50 regularly until next session. If there is irritation
    then apply every 2 hours as long as post-treatment
    irritation persists.
  • Avoid use of deodorants or fragrance on treated areas
    as long as skin is sensitive or fragile.
  • Mineral makeup (which is easy to remove) may be applied
    as long as the skin is not harmed.
  • Avoid hot baths, showers, saunas, hot tubs etc for 48 hours.
  • Maintain moisturization of the skin.
  • Between sessions, no mechanical trimming (waxing,
    tweezers, electrolysis, electric epilator) allowed.
  • Razors, scissors or depilatory creams are tolerated.

Skin Peel

Skin Peel Aftercare

  • Please avoid direct sunlight and if exposed, use sunblock
    SPF 30-50 regularly until next session. If there is irritation
    then apply every 2 hours as long as post-treatment
    irritation persists.
  • Avoid use of retinol products, Alfa hydroxy acids, perfumed
    products etc. Stick to gentle cleansers and serums until
    the skin has healed.
  • Mineral makeup can be worn after the procedure.
  • Avoid hot baths, showers, saunas, hot tubs etc for 48 hours.
  • Maintain moisturization of the skin.
  • Between sessions, no mechanical trimming (waxing,
    tweezers, electrolysis, electric epilator) allowed.

Micro Needling/Dermapen

Micro Needling/Dermapen Aftercare

  • During recovery period patients are recommended to use mild soap free cleanser that will not strip, irritate or leave heavy residue on the skin.
  • Use of non- active, non- occlusive and non- comedogenic nourishing and protective serums are recommended to be applied as often as necessary to reduce inflammation, restore skin comfort and accelerate healing process.
  • Hyla active, Anti- oxidant cocktail and vitamin rich repair are especially designed to enhance post- operative skin function. A gentle broad-spectrum sunscreen spf 30 that creates a breathable network over the complexion to conceal and perfect.
  • Cleanse AM& PM – Treat AM anti-oxidant cocktail plus vitamin repair plus cover recover. Treat PM Hyla Active plus vitamin rich repair.
